      LET'S GET IT Starting September 8th, two of Alaska's most elite basketball coaches, Ryan Orton and Alysa Horn, are excited to bring you a three month skills series that will challenge your athlete to elevate their physical and mental game at the greatest venue in the state, the Alaska Airlines Center. SERIES DESCRIPTIONS All skill drills will be non-contact. September Skills Series  Correct Body Mechanics & Positioning, Injury Prevention, Ball Handling, Passing, and Positional Footwork & Finishing Dates: September 8th, 15th and 22nd Times: 2-4 pm for Middle School Boys and Girls (grades 6-8) | 4:30-6:30 pm for High School Boys and Girls (grades 9-12) October Skills Series  Shooting Mechanics, Moving Off the Ball (Cutting, Screening, etc.), and 1 on 1 Moves Dates: October 6th, 13th and 20th Times: 2-4 pm for Middle School Boys and Girls (grades 6-8) | 4:30-6:30 pm for High School Boys and Girls (grades 9-12) November Skills Series  Individual & Team Defensive and Offensive Concepts Dates: November 3rd, 17th and 24th Times: 2-4 pm for Middle School Boys and Girls (grades 6-8) | 4:30-6:30 pm for High School Boys and Girls (grades 9-12) PRICING Please note that a registration fee will apply upon check out. Single Series: $80 per athlete All Series: $200 per athlete ($40 savings) Drop In: $30 per session WHO ARE THE COACHES? Ryan Orton Coach Orton is beginning his 21st season at the collegiate level of coaching. He has over 25 years of Player Development experience. Orton has worked with Elementary aged kids all the way up through Professionals over the years in their quest to become better players. His coaching posts include six years as a Junior College Head Coach (Lane and Western Wyoming), seven years as a NCAA Division I Assistant Coach (Eastern Washington and Montana State) and eight years as a NCAA Division II Assistant Coach (Northwest Nazarene and Alaska Anchorage). Orton also played collegiately at Eastern Oregon University and Northwest Christian University.   Alysa Horn Coach Alysa wears multiple hats pretaining to the development of athletes. She currently is the UAA Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, where she is responsible for training the Men's & Women's basketball teams. Alysa is also owner of Make Yourself LLC, her sports performance and basketball skills training business that she runs full time. Alysa has played both professionally overseas in Germany and Australia, and for the Seawolves. She was also on staff when the Seawolves women's basketball team made their National Championship run in 2016.  SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER! Athlete's are highly encouraged to attend all series, as the skills covered will progress over the course of the three months. Please note that refunds will be available up until 7 days of the series paid for, after this point no refunds will be issued.  We are excited to work with your athlete!   FAQs What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking in the Alaska Airlines Center parking lot is free on Sundays. We will not be providing trasnportation. What can I bring into the event? Basketball shoes, water, and bringing your own basketball is encouraged, but not required. How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
