      Part of the Anchorage Makerspace Rapid Prototype Series | Electronics Manufacturing Thursdays, from 6 - 8PM, Starting October 26th $45 / Event; first class in the series is FREE  All classes half-price for active Anchorage Makerspace members Course Description This hands-on class will teach the basics of PCB fabrication using either etching or engraving techniques.  Surface mount component handling and placement, along with an introduction to reflow soldering methods will be covered; over the course of the class, students will experience the process of custom PCB fabrication from raw board to functional circuit. Instructor: Steven Fett & Marc Boas About Steve is a former instructor at the CITC Fab Lab, where in addition to teaching manufacturing techniques, he also helped maintain and build 3D printers and other fabrication equipment. He is a co-founder of the Anchorage Makerspace, and serves as the AMS Chief Technology Officer. Marc has 12 years of experience as a drafter, designer, and surveyor. He is an expert at 2D and 3D CAD Civil Design applications, as well as: AutoDesk applications, ESRI GIS programs, Lidar, and Trimble technologies.
